Biosun Ödemiş A.Ş. is an integrated solid waste management facility operating in the Ödemiş district of İzmir, specializing in environmentally friendly and sustainable energy production. Due to the rapid population growth, industrialization, and changes in consumer behavior, the types and quantities of municipal waste have been steadily increasing, resulting in significant problems for public and environmental health. The company contributes to Turkey’s zero waste goals through environmentally friendly practices such as the recycling of household solid waste, production of refuse-derived fuel, and energy generation. The facility is established on an area of 52,000 m² and operates with a daily capacity of 1,200 tons. The company’s headquarters are located in Bornova, İzmir, while the facility itself is located in Ödemiş district. Biosun Ödemiş aims to increase environmental awareness and contribute to the achievement of the zero waste goal with a vision centered on sustainability.
