Recycling of Household Waste

The recycling journey of the mixed household waste we accept at our facility begins with the separation of organic and inorganic materials. Then, inorganic waste is classified, and materials such as paper, cardboard, PET bottles, and glass are supplied as raw materials to recycling-certified companies. The remaining organic waste is decomposed in an anaerobic environment using digesters, allowing methane gas to be released. The methane gas is then purified and transferred to electric motors, which connect to the grid, delivering electricity generated from waste to our homes.
